A high inland peak, known as "Waboomberg", above the Ceres fruit valley, producing strong thermic conditions and good cross-country potential toward the Inverdoorn salt pans and the edge of the Karoo. Best flown in spring and autumn — the wind tends to swing westerly early on summer afternoons as low pressure builds over the desert.

Launch & landing
Launch from a gently sloping fynbos field southwest of the radio mast, at the top of a serrated, cliff-lined gully — around 1000m above the valley (1600m ASL, 2900m ceiling). Land in any uncultivated field in the valley, avoiding orchards and vineyards.
Access
Via the N1 to Worcester and the R43 to Ceres, then farm roads up toward the peak — permission from the resident farmer is required, best arranged by phoning ahead.
